TeamItaly, coordinated by the Cini (National Interuniversity Consortium for Cybersecurity) National Cybersecurity Laboratory, is Italy's national team of "ethical hackers" and includes Antonio Napolitano, currently a second-year computer engineering honour student at the Sant'Anna School. TeamItaly took fourth place at the European Cybersecurity Challenge, an international competition organized annually by the European Union Agency for Cyber Security (Enisa). The competition saw 33 teams competing, with a total of more than 600 participants, largely from European Union and European Free Trade Association (Efta) countries.

The National Cybersecurity Laboratory is involved in training young talent in cybersecurity, designing wide-ranging initiatives such as the CyberChallenge.IT, an annual training course involging more than 5,000 young people from 34 universities.
